Other Cities are _

Fort Lauderdale is the biggest downtown area north of Miami and has a diverse scene with bars, clubs, restaurants and shops. On flip side, in recent years FTL has overdeveloped in my opinion so traffic is annoying, bridges go up and down all day, public transport is not great, and the homeless situation has worsened.

East Boca. Its safe and has fantastic restaurants and shopping. It is a bit of an older crowd (although that is changing) so not much in the way of clubs but plenty of bars. If you are in your 20s, maybe not your top pick, but 30s+ it might be your scene. Also, there is a lot of money in Boca which is evident any time you pass by a valet stand. Not a fit for everyone, but a clean, safe well run city.

Delray is my favorite spot. One can go there with family for dinner and drinks. Smaller than FTL, it is busy every night of the week. Excellent food and a solid night life with live music.. If I didn't have kids and care about schools systems and other boring stuff, I would live here.

West Palm is similar to FTL except 50 miles north. Also, in my opinion, its better run, cleaner, and has not overdeveloped. That said, some of the areas around WPB are a little rough so location is important

About Florida

FLORIDA is one of the few states that has no state income tax, and, it has the second most waterfront land.

Many wealthy people have first and second homes here. Which creates a lot of nice property, businesses, and jobs which creates opportunities for young people.

It was fairly easy to find a job in 20’s. The cost of living is low, half of what it is in many parts of California. It never really gets cold here. On rare occasions, it get gets below 50F (10C) but never for long. Florida is a lightning rod for hurricanes πŸ‘€.

The nightlife is awesome. The dating scene is also great. There are lots of classy, educated, attractive, single people out there to date if you are in the market.
